Q: Does the m3u4u.com website provide or host streams?
A: No, the site only enables the user to customize the arrangement of their personal playlist(s).
Q: Is there a limit to how many playlists can be added?
A: The service is intended and designed for personal home use and operates an "on-trust" fair use policy of maximum 10 playlists to preserve server capacity. Users requiring to regularly exceed this (i.e. manage friends/family etc.) should register their requirement and purpose via the website contact form. Small regular donations do help to maintain server capacity.
Q: Can I edit my merged playlist?
A: Yes, just add a new playlist and use the url for your merged playlist as source for the new playlist.
Q: My playlists/EPGs are gone, why?
A: In order to keep the database clean and the site fast, any playlists that are not being used(downloaded) past 30 days or only using the EPG url will get deleted. Email notice will be sent out 7 days before deletion.
Q: Is the website smartphone/tablet compatible?
A: Yes, mobile website access is feasible for checking, manual sync and minor tweaking. However, in order to fully benefit all the functions and features, and undertake full editing/assigning we recommend Desktop/Laptop.
Q: Can I share my m3u4u.com urls?
A: No, both the playlist and epg urls contain sensitive account detail specific to you that can readily be viewed. Keep them safe.
Q: How many groups can I have?
A: It is unlimited.
Q: Does m3u4u support “Series” and “VOD” streams?
A: No, this is a Live TV editor. By eliminating series and vod we significantly reduce the server load.
Q: How many channels can I have?
A: There is a limit of 10,000 per playlist.
Q: What countries are available?
A: United States, Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, Brazil, Norway, Germany, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Argentina, Columbia, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, plus 42 others.
Q: Can I request for other countries?
A: Yes, you can donate $25 then we can add two more countries of your choice and you will help the site 😉UPDATE additional countries not being added.
Q: What about a request for a specific channel?
A: We already have added all channels from our source for the countries listed, we don’t have anything else.
Q: Does the EPG file (guide.xml) contain all EPGs from the site?
A: No, it contains only the EPG for the tvg-ids assigned by you at the EPG editor.
Q: Is it possible to use the EPG from my provider and EPG from M3u4u at the same time?
A: Yes you can use two EPG on certain compatible players, right now we know of Tivimate, iMPlayer, Perfect Player. In addition Enigma2 devices can be set to use multiple EPG via the JediEPGXtream Plugin.
Q: What can I do for channels that M3U4U does not have EPG for?
A: You can use external EPG providers for their extensive EPG guide pay services.
Alternatively, you can make your own guide and self host it via WebGrab+Plus, or utilise the fairly comprehensive @kevev Secondary EPG source as detailed within the Addendum section of Our Wiki.
To fill in the missing channel EPG, you will need to do the following:
Find the alternative "tvg-id" of said channel and copy/paste it into epg>assign.
Then go to your IPTV player(s) and Add this additional EPG URL as a secondary epg source.
